THE CEMENT
Cement is made from limestone, marl, and clay: after being extracted and crushed, these materials are ground into a very fine “meal.” The meal is then heated and transformed into clinker; once cooled, the clinker is ground with gypsum and other components to produce cement, ready for shipment either in bags or in bulk.
